Virginia Finds

A few things I've found here lately in Old Virginny...

Yes, even Waffle House can be multicultural and embrace ethnic foods.

A little bit of Chippewa Falls, WI down south. Apparently, I was the first person that actually recognized the Leinie's.

Regional fare of Brunswick Stew and ham biscuits. The soup is traditionally made of lots of game and random meat, but usually today is a combo of chicken and something pig-related with a slightly sweet broth and veggies. The ham, to be typical of Virigina ham, is usually pretty salty and only really enjoyable in small portions.

Williamsburg

-Interpreters at the Governor's Mansion in Williamsburg. The lady with the bowl was just kind of mixing flour and something else a bit and not talking much. The other lady was great and kept talking in an accent and about everything (when asked).

-A chocolate pot and cakes and rolls.

-The whole kit and kaboodle of the cooks. I liked how they had it laid out, so even if you couldn't eat it at least you could look at it!
