Eating Our Way Through Portland

Jenny and I are foodies...let's face it. Together we had amazing adventures in Portland. Many of them involved food.

-Teddy's Red Pop...of course I had to buy it. Faygo's is way better, but the TR cartoon makes it worth the while.

-Our fondue feast, including mucho garlic, butter, bread, and fruit/veggies.

-Our first stop was to "Farm" - which is an unassuming place. All the food served is grown within 100 miles of the restaurtant.

-One of the favs - Baked Brie with apples and hazelnuts.

-Mediterrean Leek Soup!

-Chicken with polenta and red pepper sauce. Amazing.

-Eggplant burger. I never have cared for veggie burgers...but this one was great!

-Elephant's Deli and it's beautiful bread...

-Cheeses...

-And lunch....! Panini, Blood Orange and Tomato Soup and very moist coconut cake!

-Jenny's pretty coffee.

-Tillamook Creamery has ice cream, dairy, and CHEESE... Stoney, Jodie, and Jenny tasting the squeaky cheese curds. We may have been holding up the line...

-And they have ice cream! I got the 5 sampler dish. Cheese and Ice Cream...I was not feeling too well, but it was worth it.

-Steve and I went to taste the delights of the many trailer eateries in Portland. Here's the Philly Cheese Steak (I know...wrong coast, but delicious).

-And some Brown's Pop.

-Amazing Matzo Soup Jenny and I had for take out.

-With salad.

-Saturday Market on Sunday ended with a foodie feast. My lemon crepe being made.

-Takes me back to Paris.

-Some South African meat pie with sauce. Pretty darn tasty.

-Jenny and her chili and amazing bread.

-How about some candied hazelnuts and pierogis? Why not?

-A great idea...

-...make your own pancakes right at the table! We did get a little slap happy here.

-And when you're full, you can just leave your waitress a note with a picture!

-Very iconic Portland joint.

-I got the maple log and bacon donut (really good!) and Jenny got the classic sprinkle.

-Went to Bartini one late afternoon...and yes, they have about 5 dozen martinis, plus, plus, plus.

- Just one of the many.

-An Italian place owned by the "Mother's" people. A little caprese salad.

- A huge "lite" option of garlic sauce and broccoli.

-Minestrone soup.

-Again, why not cannoli for dessert?

-Our twice visited bagel breakfast. This one was the Tuscan one...with cheese, basil and tomato.

- A little fish taco and crab cake on the coast.

-Caught right in the harbor of Newport!

-Pix Patisserie for desserts...Steve's Guiness float.

-A bar cookie that you will "dance for" and a macaroon.

-The chocolate fort.

-"Mother's" for some home-cookin' including tomato soup,

-oatmeal and fruit,

- and a huge omelet and homefries.
That's all for Portland. It was delicious!
